November 11, 2024: Life is a rollercoaster of JOY!

Are you guys ready for this rollercoaster of a week!!!

*Also a huge shout out to BYU GO COUGS!!!

I don't think I have ever been more tired on my mission but this truly was one of the most spiritual filled weeks!! We had amazing lessons with so many progressing friends, hours of service to help those in Valencia, and so many conferencias including a visit from Elder Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles!

AMIGOS
Let me brag about my friends real quick. I love them all so much and I truly find so much joy in teaching them!! Valentina and Santiago are getting ready for the wedding and we are completely the form and finalizing everything so updates to come!! This family is everything to me and I promised them that I would be back for their sealing in a year!

I had intercambios with my favorite Hermana Ficklin who is half Spaniard and an icon! We went to teach this one family, the mom is from Chile and a less active member and the father who is not a member is from California! They moved to Spain not too long ago and I got to meet their adorable three young boys! We taught the plan of Salvation to this sweet family and it truly felt like a Q&A with these three adorable boys asking the most amazing and deep doctrine questions! They were truly getting it and they loved it! One of their boys related life to a Rollercoaster and so we took that analogy and rolled with it! Their little boy explained that life truly does have so many ups and downs but it is so much more fun than a Rollercoaster that is just a straight line! And it's so true!! What's even better is that we know that Jesucristo has already tested every single Rollercoaster life there is and he is riding alongside us!

SERVICE
We have been doing so many service projects to help the recovery in Valencia! We have helped sort clothes and food here in Sabadell that will be sent to Valencia! Also in Manresa we helped at a food back donating food to families in need! Service truly is one of my favorite parts of missionary work just to interact with so many different people helping a great cause!

CONFERENCIAS
This weekend was filled with early mornings and tons of travels!!! We had to get up early Friday morning to go to Hospitalet and have a mission wide conference!! President wanted all the STLs and ZLs in each zone to plan a práctica and we were assigned lección 4!! We wanted to help the missionaries teach in simple creative ways and it was so much fun! We did have to give the same práctica NINE times and we're on our feet ALL day but I loved it and learned so much!! I got to stand up after the conference to receive my heartfelt farewell from all the missionaries!

ELDER SOARES
This week we were so blessed to have Elder Soares come visit the Spain, Barcelona mission! The whole mission once again gathered together early Saturday morning in Barcelona to hear the inspiring testimony of this incredible Disciple of Christ! I can't explain how divine all of his words were for me! This is my last transfer of my mission and I have been heartbroken to leave the greatest experience of my life! Oddly enough his whole message was about JOY and it was mainly focused on after mission life! God knew I needed to hear these exact words! I can look forward to what is to come because there is so much joy waiting for me at home! Elder Soares talked a lot about how we can have a joy and Gospel filled lifestyle and that our desire has so much to do with our joy! I am so grateful for these last 18 months that I have had to learn and grow! I have found the source of true and every lasting joy which is Jesus Christ our Savior and Redeemer!
