August 16, 2023 Called to Serve in Barcelona, Spain AND...

Hola Amigos,  I have been in the Provo MTC for four weeks now and I have one more week to go! That news is terrifying to me but I also am so excited to get out into the field!  I got a REASSIGNMENT this week! I need a reassignment for a time until I receive my visa for Barcelona, Spain! On Friday I went down to the travel office in the MTC, told a lady my first and last name, and was handed a folded yellow sticky note. I was terrified and all the fear and uncertainty about a reassignment hit me and I didn't want to open it. My sweet companion offered a prayer and gave me words of encouragement to just read the note! August 9, 2023 God Has a Perfect Plan

Hola Amigos,  It's our third week here and the language is coming along decently. I can understand almost everything but speaking has been more challenging for me. I'm putting my trust in the Lord and studying as hard as I can. Hopefully with enough faith and prayers I can see some progression!  This week has been more difficult than others for sure! I'm trying to be patient and not compare my progression to others, but it's a challenge for sure!  Yo sé que Dios preparará un camino por mí ensañar a Sus Hijos! I can say that phrase but now I need to trust in it. I need to trust God's power and remind myself of my slow and steady progress.  I found out a few days ago that I will most likely be getting a reassignment. My Visa is not ready yet and I'm not schedule...

Hola Amigos,  This week has been great! So many amazing spiritual experiences and the spirit has been so strong all week! This work is so fulfilling but it is also very draining. Our district started Spanish immersion (where we speak Spanish during all classes) this week!  It has been amazing! I am actually able to understand what is going on in class and I'm so grateful for my amazing teachers that help us get the gist of each lesson.  This week I have seen so many sweet miracles while learning the language! The gift of tongues is real!! I had a one on one class with my Spanish teacher and we focused on learning the first section of the restoration lesson, "Dios es nuestro amoroso Padre Celestial." We studied this lesson and Sister Boseman then invited me to share my testimony. I read a few phrases from the paper and would occasionally glance up at her. After that testimony she asked if I would be comfortable sharing without the paper. I knew very few phrases and ...
