August 9, 2023 God Has a Perfect Plan

 Hola Amigos,

It's our third week here and the language is coming along decently. I can understand almost everything but speaking has been more challenging for me. I'm putting my trust in the Lord and studying as hard as I can. Hopefully with enough faith and prayers I can see some progression!

This week has been more difficult than others for sure! I have been fighting ideas of inadequacy with the language and expressing myself in a foreign language. I want to teach God's children so bad and it's devastating when I can't express myself! I'm trying to be patient and not compare my progression to others, but it's a challenge for sure!

Yo sé que Dios preparará un camino por mí ensañar a Sus Hijos! I can say that phrase but now I need to trust in it. I need to trust God's power and remind myself of my slow and steady progress.

I found out a few days ago that I will most likely be getting a reassignment. My Visa is not ready yet and I'm not scheduled to meet with the consulate so most likely I will get an email soon about a potential reassignment. This was devastating news for me and I struggled this week. I know that God has a plan in my life, but it's hard to feel the fear and uncertainty about a mission call all over again.

I had the opportunity to go to the temple multiple times this week and feel the complete peace and quiet that can only be found in the Temple. This alone is an answer to my prayer! God will bring peace to our mind and heart. I don't have all the answers right now but the peace that God brings is enough. I am called to serve God's children! Not just his children in Barcelona, Spain but wherever the Lord needs me!

A few thoughts I loved this week….
● God will always make a way, even when there is no way
● "The cause of truth, the gospel of Jesus Christ outweighed every other consideration" -Heber C. Kimball
● We are God's most precious possession -Elder Holland
● The Lord will give us utterance (D&C 14:8) Abide in HIM
● "There is so much more your Heavenly Father wants you to know" - President Nelson
● Press Forward with faith, answers come when we take action
● My companion and I taught our first lesson in Spanish and it went great! You can teach through the Holy Ghost! God's power is REAL
● As missionaries you have been given the GIFT of time - Sister Pace
● Prayer will enlighten our understanding (Alma 32:28)
● You can't know right now what experiences and blessings God has in store for you! Just wait and be patient - President Pace

I am so grateful for this week to learn and grow! Even when times are uncertain I know God has a perfect plan for my life! I'm grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ, and blessed to share it with God's children! Love you all so much!

Love,
Hermana Ross
