August 28, 2023 A Poderoso Work

 Hola Amigos, 


I made it to the Salt Lake City West mission!! I arrived Thursday morning and had a very long afternoon (with a few tears.) Then I met my amazing mission presidents President and Sister Spencer!! I was then introduced to my amazing companions!! I'm in a trio with Hermana Edwards and Hermana Gonzalez! They are the sweetest souls and really helped me adapt quickly to the area. Our area: Springfield is great! We have plenty of opportunities to teach and contact. 

I can barely understand Spanish but I have seen so many tender mercies even on my first day! I was able to knock my first door, give out my first Book of Mormon and give my first baptism invitation to our amazing amigo Laura! And the best part I did it all in Spanish!! I am able to share my testimony, pray during lessons, and I have been trying my best to jump in and add any Spanish phrases that go along with our lesson. 

On Friday we had the chance to take our Amigo Gerardo and his two children to Temple Square and the Conference Center! Watching their eyes light up reaffirmed the spirit that is found in this Gospel. Even when I can't communicate my love of this Gospel to our Amigos the Spirit can!

We have been teaching Paula and Leanardo consistently and they are progressing so well!! They have the sweetest little boy and we know they are so close to baptism!! We taught the the plan of Salvation and invited them to pray about baptism!! This Sunday they came to church and truly nothing made me happier than seeing our Amigos in church! 

We have met so many amazing people from so many places!! It's amazing to see how much the work is progressing! And today for Preparation day we were able to hike with our district up to Ensign Peak and watch the sunrise!! 

A few spiritual thoughts from my studies…
● "There is one language that is common to each missionary-the language of the Spirit. It is not learned from textbooks written by men of letters, nor is it acquired through reading and memorization. The language of the Spirit comes to him who seeks with all his heart to know God and keep his divine Commandments" -President Thomas S. Monson 
● Partake of the Sacrament and remembered his sacrifice. Jesucristo knows EXACTLY how we feel 
● Be Fueled with LOVE 
● Choose to serve the Lord everyday 
● "Lets go Save some Souls" -Hermana Edwards (she says this every time we start knocking doors for the night)

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is being taught around the world, and it is not slowing down! This work is progressing at a rapid rate and I'm happy to be a small part of it! I see the light it brings into each home and every soul! It has forever changed my life, and I can't wait to continue to watch it change others!

  Well this is it, my last mission email!! Time has flown by. I can't believe my mission is coming to an end this week!  I don't want to make this too long but I just want to write a few words of gratitude! Over these 18 months I have truly been changed! I have seen miracles happen every single day and through the Lord and his work I have been so blessed! I have loved every minute of meeting people from all over the world in Salt Lake City and Barcelona Spain! My mission means everything to me and the people that I have met have changed me!  Most importantly I have come to know my Savior Jesus Christ! I know he lives, he loves us! Everything that he did was for us and the immense love he has! He is my greatest example and my best friend! I know he has walked with me through every phase of my mission! November 11, 2024: Life is a rollercoaster of JOY!

  Are you guys ready for this rollercoaster of a week!!! *Also a huge shout out to BYU GO COUGS!!! I don't think I have ever been more tired on my mission but this truly was one of the most spiritual filled weeks!! We had amazing lessons with so many progressing friends, hours of service to help those in Valencia, and so many conferencias including a visit from Elder Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles!  AMIGOS  Let me brag about my friends real quick. I love them all so much and I truly find so much joy in teaching them!! Valentina and Santiago are getting ready for the wedding and we are completely the form and finalizing everything so updates to come!! This family is everything to me and I promised them that I would be back for their sealing in a year! I had intercambios with my favorite Hermana Ficklin who is half Spaniard and an icon! November 4, 2024: Prayers for Valencia

  Hola!!! These past two weeks have been crazy! There has been major flooding in Valencia and in Catarroja which was my first area here in Spain! My heart goes out to all of the people that I know and love!! Please pray for the sweet people of Valencia they need your prayers! The work here in Sabadell has been pretty normal besides all the rain which leads to plenty of canceled lessons but we are still going strong!  We have found a few new families in our area and they are progressing so well! First is Precious and here two boys! They are from Nigeria and we get to teach this sweet family in English which is quite a change for me! The first time we met with this sweet family we taught 3 Nefi 11 and they loved it! Precious started tearing up as she shared who Jesucristo was to her! One of her little boys was listening to the lesson with wide eyes fully engaged! I showed him a small painted card of Christ coming to the Americas to show him that Christ is our resurrected Savior!...
