September 18, 2023 I LIKE IT!!

 Hola Amigos,


This week we had so many lessons and all our friends are making so much progress!! This week was filled with so much so I'm going to TRY to not make this a crazy long email :)

INTERCAMBIOS 
This week we had exchanges or intercambios, and Hermana Menlove stayed with us for the day!! We had such great lessons and it was funny to see people's expressions when they saw three white girls speaking Spanish. We met again with Paula and she is the BEST!! We taught her about The Book of Mormon and she even mentioned that she loves these lessons and baptism is her goal!!! Her faith is amazing, but she is meant to be in the YSA ward so one of these days the Elders will have to teach her :(( 

HAPPY 9 MESES HERMANA EDWARDS 
This week Hermana Edwards hit 9 meses!! We celebrated by going to Kneaders with some of our district! And unintentionally the ZL's matched with us so we had to take a picture.

SWAP MEET
On Friday we have Consejo de Zona, which means we talk about our Amigos and how to better meet their needs! We went out to lunch as a Zone to "Swap Meet." I didn't know what this was and honestly I thought it was a Mexican Restaurant but it turned out to be a giant indoor Mexican Mall! We walked and people were selling clothes, shoes, bags, and hats of every kind. Booths set up everywhere selling so much amazing food!! The food and music were amazing!! It was so fun and surprising to find this gem in the middle of Utah!

Later that day we had two amazing lessons with Sikiu and Emily who both have three children. We taught The Plan of Salvation and it is amazing to see their love and interest for God's plan for them! One of my favorite parts of the mission is sharing the pure Joy that comes from God's plan!! 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZAN 
Izan who is the son of Idred and Johnny who we have been teaching for a while now! They invited us to Izan's Birthday Party! We celebrated a Minecraft themed birthday with them and it was so fun! Now that Izan is eight we are so excited to invite him to be baptized!! He loves this Gospel and his testimony is so inspiring! 

I REALLY LIKE THIS WORK 
On Sunday night we had a lesson with Nicholas! He works on the Salt Lake City temple and loves to learn about the temple! We were teaching him about Family Sealing and The Family a Proclamation to the World! We shared the importance of families and how temples are a sacred place to make Covenants and Ordinances! Nicholas like most of our friends are learning English so after the closing prayer Nicholas said "I like It." He was so excited to share the spirit he felt with us by saying these three simple words!! 

I echo the words of my amigo Nicholas! I like the ability I have to feel the spirit everyday! I love the Gospel of Jesucristo! I know this Gospel is true! I'm so grateful to serve my Savior and Heavenly Father each day! 

I hope everyone had such a great week!! Thank you for all the love and prayers! We have plans to invite many of our friends to be baptized because they are so ready and their spirits are so strong. Please pray for them!! This Gospel is amazing and is changing me and our Amigos everyday!

  Well this is it, my last mission email!! Time has flown by. I can't believe my mission is coming to an end this week!  I don't want to make this too long but I just want to write a few words of gratitude! Over these 18 months I have truly been changed! I have seen miracles happen every single day and through the Lord and his work I have been so blessed! I have loved every minute of meeting people from all over the world in Salt Lake City and Barcelona Spain! November 11, 2024: Life is a rollercoaster of JOY!

  Are you guys ready for this rollercoaster of a week!!! *Also a huge shout out to BYU GO COUGS!!! I don't think I have ever been more tired on my mission but this truly was one of the most spiritual filled weeks!! We had amazing lessons with so many progressing friends, hours of service to help those in Valencia, and so many conferencias including a visit from Elder Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles!  AMIGOS  Let me brag about my friends real quick. I love them all so much and I truly find so much joy in teaching them!! Valentina and Santiago are getting ready for the wedding and we are completely the form and finalizing everything so updates to come!! This family is everything to me and I promised them that I would be back for their sealing in a year! I had intercambios with my favorite Hermana Ficklin who is half Spaniard and an icon! November 4, 2024: Prayers for Valencia

  Hola!!! These past two weeks have been crazy! There has been major flooding in Valencia and in Catarroja which was my first area here in Spain! My heart goes out to all of the people that I know and love!! Please pray for the sweet people of Valencia they need your prayers! The work here in Sabadell has been pretty normal besides all the rain which leads to plenty of canceled lessons but we are still going strong!  We have found a few new families in our area and they are progressing so well! First is Precious and here two boys! They are from Nigeria and we get to teach this sweet family in English which is quite a change for me! The first time we met with this sweet family we taught 3 Nefi 11 and they loved it! Precious started tearing up as she shared who Jesucristo was to her! One of her little boys was listening to the lesson with wide eyes fully engaged! I showed him a small painted card of Christ coming to the Americas to show him that Christ is our resurrected Savior!...
