November 27, 2023: Microwavable Rabbit Paella

 Hola Hola!!!

Happy late Día de Acción de Gracias!! I am so very grateful for you all!! And for those of you in the states I hope you ate a ton of turkey and rolls for me🥹 We met with our Zona in Valencia and they tired to make it feel like a normal Thanksgiving by giving us Chicken and letting us watch the 2022 Macy's Day Parade (it's the thought that counts ♡)

We had a few friends that are progressing super well and it's amazing to see how busy we are each day running from train to metro to train to make our lessons! We are teaching Allany her Husband and their adorable 5 month old baby. They speak Portuguese and recently came from Brazil, but thankfully they can understand some Spanish. My companion and I have taught them the Plan of Salvation to this sweet family and they loved it!! Maria is also progressing so well and we were able to meet with her twice this week! She has the strongest spirit I have ever seen! She is searching for the truth and so excited to read the Book of Mormon!!

A few interesting things happened this week that really solidified that fact I am in Spain. For example we had a member meal with this really sweet old couple and for lunch they pulled out these Microwavable Rabbit Paella packets. So my first experience with Paella was the Microwavable kind but I mean it was still good and quite an experience. Later that week as we were leaving the train station we passed a catholic church and the street was lined with funeral procession??? Literally no joke the casket, three catholic Popes and a whole marching band! I might have to live in Spain when I am older so my death can be celebrated with a Parade and marching band! People were lining the streets so we were a little late to teach The Plan of Salvation to our amigos but it kinda went right along with our lesson :)

I love the work here in Spain, it's hard and difficult at times but so rewarding! Every time we get the chance to teach I appreciate this Gospel so much more and the gift it is to so many! Truly Christ and his Gospel can soften hearts and change lives! This Sunday I was able to meet Abel who was one of my Sisters converts from her mission! To serve in the same first area as her and meet the friends she taught is incredible!

Overall such a great week and so much to be thankful for!! I am so grateful to be a missionary, I truly have the best job in the world! I get to learn and share of Christ everyday and help people feel of his infinite and eternal love. Jesus Christ truly is our treasure and our greatest blessing. Grateful for all of you ♡

Love, Hermana Ross ♡
