Jan 8, 2024: Proud to be an American
Hola!!!
This week was so much fun and we saw so many miracles here in Catarroja!!
We found a lot of new friends this week and one in particular Michel is progressing super well! He came to church this last Sunday and loved it! He already had an incredible testimony about the Book of Mormon and we are excited to meet with him again this week! He has mentioned many times during this last week that the Gospel brings something different. He described it as a feeling of peace and of love that he has been looking for! I can testify of this same feeling; the gospel brings so much joy and light into our lives!
This last week Spain celebrated Three Kings Day which is basically like Christmas for everyone here! Catarroja put on a giant parade which consisted of marching bands, dances, marvel characters, Disney princess, giant polar bears, and the three kings throwing chocolate coins from giant floats (just Spain things!) During the parade Captain America saluted my very American companion and I! I truly never felt more proud to be an American in that moment! Apparently it is very easy to tell we are from America here lol
This week I made a goal to study one confrence talk a day! This week I studied the talk from Amy A Wright about hope in Christ! She said “Jesus Christ is the “hope in thine end.” Nothing we have or have not done is beyond the reach of His infinite and eternal sacrifice. He is the reason why it is never the end of our story.” This quote has really stuck with me about Christ and the Joy we can have because he lives! We can have a new start, and a new hope because He is our hope! He is the reason we can become better everyday!
I love you all so much! I hope you all had an amazing start to this new year!
Love, Hermana Ross ♡
