April 15, 2024: Happiness Doubled by Wonder

 Hola!!! 

These last two weeks were filled with so many spiritual experiences!! To start off the week we had Conferencia de Zona with the Girona and Barcelona zones! President planned for us two zones to go on a hike overlooking all of Barcelona and it was incredible! We were able to have a testimony meeting towards the end of the hike and hear the uplifting words from Presidente y Hermana Heckmann! They are truly incredible and push us to be the best missionaries and devoted followers of Christ! 

To end last week we were blessed to listen to the words of God through our living day Prophet and his Apostles! I can't believe it has already been 6 months since I was serving in Salt Lake and got to see a session in person! Time is flying by!!! Listening to general conference here in Spain was a bit more challenging because of the time difference! The morning sessions started at 6pm and the afternoon sessions started at 10pm! But I was blessed with time to view all the sessions and we even watched the Sunday morning session with our group in the hotel where we meet for sacrament meeting! A few of our amigos came as well which was such a miracle!

The work has been a little slower this week than normal. Our amigos are having problems progressing and we are trying to rally our small group of around 35 members to have joy and excitement for this work! It has been harder than Hermana Bäck and I thought to start this group and help it grow! Nonetheless I am so grateful for the promise that “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Mateo 18:20) I know without a doubt that this is Christ's church and that through him I have seen miracle after miracle here in Figueres! He truly is leading his church and I am so grateful to know he is very aware of all of the work here! 

General Conference was exactly what I needed during this time in my mission and I received so much peace! I loved the importance of temple covenants in each of the talks! I know that through these covenants we are bound to God and his eternal love! If we are true and faithful all will work out in the end! I know that through this gospel we can feel eternal joy! As President Holland said “with my own “happiness doubled by wonder,” I thank all of you and thank my Father in Heaven!” Over these last 9 meses I couldn't be more thankful to all of you! I have been blessed to work with the most amazing missionaries and members that will be lifelong friends! I have been blessed to meet the most amazing people from all over the world! I am especially thankful to my Father in heaven and his son Jesus Christ! Everyday I am in wonder at this work! I am filled with happiness that can only come from the gospel of Jesus Christ! I can confidently say as a missionary that my happiness is doubled by wonder as I get to be a representative of my Savior and Redeemer, my perfect example and my greatest friend even Jesus Christ!
