September 2, 2024: True Believers

 Hola Feliz Lunes!

We are out of quarantine for about a week now and better than ever! Wow this week was BUSY! I felt like we really focused on finding through members and menos activos and it was so successful!

This transfer we have really focused on our conversos recientes and having a strong relationship with them and it has helped our area so much! These amazing conversos recientes help us in lessons and have strong relationships with our amigos! We are helping a few conversos prepare to enter the temple!!! That has been the biggest joy this week seeing these strong new members progress even more on the covenant path!

I was able to have an intercambio with Hermana Law who is the sweetest person in the world and I loved it! This is her first transfer on the mission so it was so fun to hype her up and see her progress so much during her mission! I love intercambios so much because I always get to learn so much from these amazing hermanas! Sadly I felt very old as a missionary with 13 meses but I was truly able to take in every moment and just enjoy the missionary life during this intercambio!

This week we went to Zaragoza to have another intercambio with the hermanas that live there and their area is BEAUTIFUL! The people in Zaragoza are so prepared for this gospel! 3 people came up to us and started asking us about the church. It was crazy. I have never seen Spanish people more interested in the gospel and I loved it! Seriously this area was golden and I learned so many things from the sisters that I am trying to apply in Sabadell!

We also had a bunch of service this week helping a sweet mother who has six kids repaint her house and she gave us the best fried chicken after so we were very happy to have helped lol!

Here is a quick updates on our friends that we have in the area because we have a ton so I will just name a few! Kelly y Alberto are parents of two kids and they are the sweetest Venezuelan family! We are also teaching Zaida who just moved here from Peru about a month ago! We invited her to watch a baptism that some Elders in our district had and she loved it and is considering baptism! We are ready this week to extend the baptism invitation another time so please pray for Zaida!! Lastly is Kishan and he is from India and speaks English but came to church on Sunday and I was able to translate for him and he loved it! It has been kinda difficult to teach him because he doesn't know spanish and his english isn't great but we are teaching him very clearly so he can understand and he loves the mensaje so that's amazing! If you get a chance this week please pray for Kelly, Alberto y su familia, Zaida, y Kishan! Prayer really does change things!

To end, I want to share a little of my scripture study with you all! This week I read in Alma 46:15 ans it shares..
15. And those who did belong to the church were faithful; yea, all those who were true believers in Christ took upon them, gladly, the name of Christ, or Christians as they were called, because of their belief in Christ who should come.

I loved this verse so much because as missionaries we share that religion is so much more than the church we are a part of but it is a change in our entire being! We need to be TRUE BELIEVERS that take upon the name of Christ and believe that he lives and will come again! This is the simple and profound meaning of our religion and I am so grateful that I get to belong to the church of God! Love you all so much!
